Allen Fire Fighters is the association of full-time, professional firefighters who are employed by the City of Allen, serving our residents and communities throughout the country through mutual aid responses.
Since April 16 1992, members of The Allen Professional Fire Fighters, IAFF Local 3453, have protected life, property and the environment through prevention and emergency response. Our highly, technical and skilled responders include those trained in trench rescue, Confined space rescue, urban search and rescue, hazardous materials responses, and more. Every one of our members is a Paramedic, and many are licensed Paramedics with the state (an even higher designation) – able to interpret heart rhythms, provide electrical heart therapy (pacing, defibrillation), intubate, and administer a wide range of very complex medications to restore normal heart rhythms, stop seizures or mitigate a diabetic emergency to name a few.
Allen prides itself in such a progressive forward thinking, cutting edge emergency response. We support placing the members of our association on a higher plane of skill and efficiency through participation in federal, state, and local safety committees and through the support of modern technology and with 100% percent support of the IAFF and IAFC Wellness Initiative.
WE ARE A STRONG UNITED IAFF LOCAL, PROUD OF OUR UNITY IN NEGOTIATING FOR THE WAGES, BENEFITS AND WORKING CONDITIONS OF ALLEN FIREFIGHTERS.
